The first week of December i did a craft with the kids where we make a large ornament. We use the first letter of their (English) name. Then we cute some red paper and then some green paper. Then glue it on however they like and viola! Instant cool collage. This could easily be changed for just about anyone and on just about anything. Im thinking spray paint and wood could be really cool. After i looked at the kids work i realized that every kids work looked amazing. They were like little abstract paintings. Maybe some of them will be future graphic designers. ;)
For the oldest class, we made snowflakes and then made them into a collage. Here's what they did:

I was so impressed with their snowflakes.
This boy was so cute! he was going so slow and i couldnt figure out why. SO i wen to help him and he we try to hand cut all the pieces so they fit! So i helped him move a little quicker. I love the top part. It looks like "S" is a "super hero."
I then made a tree with them in my room. It turned out better than expected. So for those of you who cant get a tree this year, there are always other ways to get one.
